We have come up with a list of some top destinations to visit during the autumn months. Whether you’re after a hot getaway in the sun, wanting to explore festivals and towns, or are you lucky enough to be moving to one of these great destinations.
1. Munich
Take a trip to Munich between 21st September and 6th October to visit the world famous beer festival Oktoberfest! It has 14 different tents to choose from this year.
2. Cyprus
Cyprus is beautiful during the autumn months as it still has a beautiful dry, mededtrianan weather on offer. Consider staying in Limassol, which has many attractions including: a water park, a castle and the historic village, Omodos.
3. Tuscany
If you’re after a short break in the sunshine and enjoy the odd glass of wine try Tuscany and visit the Chianti Classico Wine Festival, which runs every September.
4. Canary Islands – Lanzarote
With temperatures averaging in the mid 20’s, the sea at it’s warmest and the summer season over, autumn is the perfect time to visit Lanzarote.
5. Cambodia
Well worth a visit especially with the three day Water Festival in Phnom Penh, with boat races and fireworks.
6. Venice
Why not try the five day ‘Venice & It’s Lagoon’ cruise and explore Venice and the town of Chioggia.
7. Saint-Tropez
Like most destinations it’s considerably a lot quieter after summer and it’s also the annual Regatta Les Voiles de St Tropez, which sees 300 sailing yachts, from around the world race.
8. Mauritius
The autumn months are a desirable time to visit as it’s slightly cooler and less humid, which makes it a great destination to escape to and relax.
9. Porto, Portugal
Porto is a city on the coast of Portugal and is great for a cycling holiday or to walk around and discover its offerings like the unspoilt Douro Valley.
10. East Africa
Autumn is the perfect time to visit East Africa to catch the annual Great Wildebeest Migration from Tanzania’s Serengeti to Kenya’s Maasai Mara.
