What happens when my shipment arrives in New Zealand?
When Shipping to New Zealand, upon the arrival of your shipment, you will be contacted by our partner’s Import Team in order to begin the Customs and Quarantine procedure.
You will be asked to complete the relevant customs documentation including a Personal Effects declaration and a ‘Unaccompanied Personal Baggage Declaration’ form. You will also need to provide your original passport or a copy of the identification page entry visa.
Due to MPI Quarantine requirements, all shipments will be routed via our partner’s customs bonded warehouse. Certain items in your shipment may be inspected by MPI Officials.
After the MPI inspection has been completed and when your shipment has cleared customs, a delivery and unpacking date will be arranged.
Which items may be subject to a quarantine (MPI) inspection?
Restricted or prohibited items may be inspected by MPI including food, outdoor items and any items derived from plant or animal material. Further information can be found here: New Zealand Quarantine.
