Launch of Morph’s Epic Art Adventure -as much-loved character hits the streets of London

Simon Hood explains John Mason International’s involvement in epic fund-raising trail…

At John Mason International, we are always on the look out for ways we can support different organisations and charities across the UK. And our latest exciting adventure has now begun!

From 19th June, we are sponsoring Morph’s Epic Art Adventure. What does that involve? We are teaming up with this British television icon to raise vital funds, which will help transform the lives of young wheelchair users.

Morph’s Epic Art Adventure is the nation’s very first ‘step-free’ art trail. From 20 June to 20 August 2023, it will transform central London – with 56 super-sized sculptures of Morph, the much-loved iconic children’s TV character, located at some of the capital’s best-known landmarks.

Since the 1970s, Morph has been a familiar face to many – with his mischievous antics encouraging millions to get creative. And Morph’s Epic Art Adventure certainly reflects this. Each Morph sculpture has a unique design, chosen by individual sponsors.

Morph Trail London

John Mason International has its own version of Morph, which is displayed in a prominent position along this captivating trail. We’ve chosen to call him The Pearly King Morph, and he has been transformed to look the part by renowned artist Sandra Russell.

Pearly King Morph has been inspired by the original Pearly King, Henry Croft. Born in London in the 19th century, he was an orphan street sweeper who became famous for his striking outfits, covered in mother-of-pearl buttons. He used these to collect a vast amount of money for charity – so we think he is the perfect choice for this worthy cause.

The trail is in support of Whizz-Kids – the UK’s leading charity for young wheelchair users. Not only does it offer an exciting adventure through central London which is accessible for all, it has the potential to raise lots of money for the charity – with each Morph character being auctioned off at the end of the event in August.

We won’t tell you where our Pearly King Morph is hidden – because he’s lost somewhere in central London. It’s up to those following the trail to find him – along with the other 55 Morphs. A Trail Map and app will help you navigate through the capital’s famous streets.

Pearly King Morph is waiting for you now – see if you can find him!
