Five Reasons You Might Want to Consider Working Abroad

The thought of jumping on a plane and flying away to a brand new country to set up a new life with a new job is something that sounds far too appealing for most of us. Whether you’re sick of the 9-5, the weather, or quite simply your job, maybe it is time to look further afield and start a career abroad

1.Climate

Seems a little obvious or cliché but warm weather can make a real difference to most peoples well being. Leaving the office in warm sunshine rather than the pouring rain can help make your day go a lot faster. Plus, depending on the type of job you might be outdoors anyway, in which case we’re sure it would be a lot easier with beautiful rays of sun beaming down on you.

2. Finance

For many a really factor in moving abroad to work is the money and why shouldn’t it be? You’ve worked hard, so you deserve it. Many find working in other countries could earn them a lot more money each month and depending on the country, generally living expenses are a lot lower than in England.

3. Culture

Taking a job abroad not only benefits your career but it can also be a great life experience as you will be in a completely new environment and get to meet and explore new places, people, food and cultures.

4. Experience and Skills

Working abroad even if it’s just for a year, can give you CV a great boost and will make you stand out next to any competition! It shows you’re willing to take risks, adaptable to new places and most likely more dynamic than others.

5. Career Ladder

Lastly, many find taking a job abroad can be a way to really fast track their careers. The experience abroad and development skills can be the perfect recipe for a promotion or more rewards.

Whether working abroad is something that’s been your “bucket list” for years but you’ve never got round to doing it or if it’s something that is starting to sound quite appealing, it is defiantly worth looking into it at least. To give you a bit of inspiration or a starting point some of the most popular countries to move to for work are; America, Australia, the Middle East, New Zealand and Canada.
