New Zealand will reopen its international borders in five stages from the 27 February 2022.
Fully vaccinated New Zealanders and other eligible travellers from Australia will be able to travel to New Zealand and will be able to self-isolate from 11:59pm on 27 February 2022.
Fully vaccinated New Zealanders and other eligible travellers from all countries can travel to New Zealand and self-isolate from 11:59pm on 13 March 2022.
Fully vaccinated eligible travellers from all countries can travel to New Zealand and self-isolate from 11:59pm on 12 April 2022.
The following fully vaccinated people can enter New Zealand and self-isolate upon arrival from July 2022.
All travellers from Australia.
Visitors from countries who do not need a visa (visa waiver visitors)
Travellers arriving under the Accredited Employer Work Visa categories.
All visa categories will open from October 2022
At all stages, travellers must self-isolate for ten days with a COVID test required on arrival, on day one, and on day five of the self-isolation. Unvaccinated travellers are not eligible for self-isolation.
