The Happiest Countries in The World

People choose to move and work abroad for a number of different reasons, often because they are pursuing a more prosperous career but also because they are simply seeking a better way of life. If you’re looking to relocate for a generally happier lifestyle, take a look at the below list of countries, known as the ‘happiest countries’ in the world!

Australia

Not only is Australia home to the world’s largest coral reef system, The Great Barrier Reef, but it also boasts beautiful white beaches, wonderfully warm temperatures and a fantastically low crime rate! It’s no wonder that in 2013 nearly 350,000 people expressed interest in moving to Australia to work. People from the UK? Quote source? With high quality medical care, excellent schools and public transport, we’re just wondering what’s stopping you from packing?

Sweden

The third largest country in Western Europe, those currently living in Sweden rate their lives 7.4 out of 10. Quote survey source. With beautiful forests, mountains, stunning lakes and some of the happiest people in the world, Sweden is the ideal place to head to start over and begin a happier, healthier lifestyle.

Canada

It’s no surprise that Canada features in this list, due to its high average life expectancy and income, and overall state of wellbeing. 94% of Canadians say they know someone they can rely on in time of need, whilst a whopping 88% say they are in good health! Pack those bags, we say…

Iceland

Sure, it’s cold, but Iceland boasts low income tax and free healthcare and education to its citizens. It has been voted the most peaceful nation on Earth and has even been endorsed by such folk as the Dalai Lama and Bishop Desmond Tutu. If you’re keen for a stress-free way of life, Iceland is your number one destination.

Switzerland

The average life expectancy in Switzerland is 82.8 (in the UK it is 79). That, plus the awesome landscapes, railway links and healthy public finances should be enough to sway you to move here. Switzerland has a rather attractive tax regime and excellent connectivity to the rest of the world too.
