Pre-Move Information

• Select a room in your house or area of your house for items not to be packed. This will ensure that these items are not packed by mistake.
• Ensure that the washing machine drum is secured for transit. All white goods should be disconnected and ready to be extracted from kitchen units.
• Empty water from irons, washing machines and dishwashers to avoid internal rusting during transit.
• Defrost your fridge and freezer prior to the collection date within plenty of time to make sure the items are completely dry for shipping.
• Empty the vacuum cleaner bag.
• Drain all fuel from lawn mowers.
• Jewellery items should not be included in your household goods shipment. Please place to one side so that these items are not packed.
• If sockets / plugs differ at destination, remove them now to avoid having to dispose of them at destination. Plugs are an awkward shape and take up unnecessary space.
• All electrical equipment should be disconnected and unplugged, ready to be removed from your residence.
• Flamable / hazardous goods are strictly prohibited. Please do not include fuels, paints, gas or aerosols in your shipment.
• All outdoor equipment should be cleaned of soil deposits (e.g. bicycles, outdoor furniture, sports equipment).
• If you have any original packaging for items such as televisions, computers etc., please hand to the packing crew on the first day of collection.
